What is CVE-2026-110837?

A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in FreeRDP versions prior to 3.32.0 when configured with WITH_LAME=ON and WITH_DSP_FFMPEG=OFF. This vulnerability allows a malicious RDP server to exploit the way MP3 audio is decoded, causing decoded samples to overflow the heap allocation, resulting in a crash of the FreeRDP client. The underlying issue arises from an incorrect offset in the right-channel PCM pointer treated as short elements, which can lead to serious stability issues for affected users.
