What is CVE-2026-110870?

An improper input validation vulnerability exists in Nodemailer prior to version 10.0.13. This flaw in the address parser fails to adequately handle RFC 5322 comments, allowing attackers to exploit displays containing parenthesized comments within angle-bracketed addresses. Consequently, illegal characters can infiltrate the envelope.to and RCPT TO fields, resulting in the potential for email delivery failures or parser conflicts that might bypass existing domain allow-lists.

Affected Version(s)

nodemailer 3.0.0 < 10.0.13

nodemailer 10.0.13
