What is CVE-2026-110876?

AdPlug version 2.4 is susceptible to an out-of-bounds read vulnerability located in src/xsm.cpp. This vulnerability permits attackers to exploit the application by supplying a negative note index, leading to a read before the note_table. By crafting a malicious XSM file with the specific ofTAZ! signature and utilizing a song byte of 0x80 or higher, attackers can trigger a global-buffer-overflow read during playback. This could potentially crash the affected applications, compromising their functionality.
