What is CVE-2026-111066?

AIOHTTP, an asynchronous HTTP client/server framework for asyncio and Python, has a vulnerability in its multipart request processing that can lead to the retention of an unbounded number of open file descriptors. This occurs when an unauthenticated attacker sends specially crafted multipart requests while using Request.post(), potentially leading to exhaustion of file descriptors. The issue has been addressed in version 3.14.4, which users are advised to upgrade to in order to mitigate this risk.
