What is CVE-2026-111144?

The libansilove library versions 1.3.0 through 1.4.2 exhibit a NULL pointer dereference vulnerability within the ansilove_xbin() function. This issue arises when an attacker supplies a specially crafted XBIN file, which can lead to application crashes. Specifically, if the 512-character flag is set without the custom-font flag, the drawchar() function may access a NULL high_font_data_xbin pointer, resulting in a termination of the application process. As a result, this vulnerability could be exploited effectively by bad actors looking to disrupt operations.

Affected Version(s)

libansilove 1.3.0 <= 1.4.2

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
