What is CVE-2026-111817?

Apache Traffic Server has a vulnerability that causes it to stall during chunked transfers when trailer bytes are dropped, which can lead to delays until the connection times out. This behavior occurs because the server continues to wait for the trailer bytes, although they have already been discarded. By default, trailer dropping is enabled in versions 10.x, whereas it is disabled in versions 8.1.11 and 9.2.x unless specifically enabled. Users are advised to upgrade to versions 10.1.5 or 10.2.1 to mitigate this issue.

Affected Version(s)

Apache Traffic Server 8.1.11

Apache Traffic Server 9.2.5 <= 9.2.15

Apache Traffic Server 10.0.0 <= 10.1.4
