What is CVE-2026-111905?

An insecure direct object reference vulnerability exists in phpMyFAQ versions 3.2.0 prior to 4.1.9 and 4.2.0-alpha prior to 4.2.0-beta. This flaw allows attackers with delegated administrator privileges to access sensitive user information, including the TOTP secret of SuperAdmin accounts. By exploiting the GET /admin/api/user/data/{userId} endpoint, unauthorized users can retrieve another user's full faquserdata row without proper checks, leading to potential bypass of two-factor authentication measures. Administrators should immediately update to the latest version to mitigate this risk.

Affected Version(s)

phpMyFAQ 3.2.0 < 4.1.9

phpMyFAQ 4.2.0-alpha < 4.2.0-beta
