What is CVE-2026-111918?

An improper authorization issue exists in Vikunja version 1.0.0-rc0 and earlier than 2.7.0 within the RecalculateTaskPositions function. This flaw allows authenticated users with no accessible projects to modify task position entries across all tasks, potentially leading to denial of service. By manipulating their default project ID, attackers can eliminate their inbox entries and establish saved filters that create cross-tenant references, thereby amplifying the risk of unauthorized modifications.
