What is CVE-2026-111922?

Vikunja versions prior to 2.7.0 have been found to exhibit a permissive Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) configuration. This flaw allows any localhost and 127.0.0.1 port to send credentialed requests to the token refresh endpoint. As a result, an attacker who controls a page on a local server can exploit this vulnerability to obtain the bearer JWT of a logged-in user, potentially hijacking their account. Proper security measures should be implemented to restrict CORS settings and enhance user account security.
