Divide by Zero Vulnerability in libschroedinger Affects Schroedinger Software
CVE-2026-112054
6.8MEDIUM
What is CVE-2026-112054?
The libschroedinger library, up to version 1.0.11, suffers from a divide by zero vulnerability that can lead to application crashes. Attackers exploit this flaw by supplying a zero value for either the slice_bytes_denom or slice count when processing a Dirac stream. This can trigger a SIGFPE, resulting in denial of service as the application crashes. Security precautions should be taken to mitigate this risk by validating input parameters during processing of low-delay pictures.
