Memory Exhaustion Vulnerability in Algorithm::UrataniTakeda for Perl
CVE-2026-113811
Currently unrated
What is CVE-2026-113811?
The Algorithm::UrataniTakeda Perl module exhibits a vulnerability that allows for memory exhaustion due to a failure shift cache that is never cleared. This flaw affects versions 0.1.5 through 0.1.6, allowing an attacker to exploit a long-lived matcher by submitting text with numerous distinct characters. Each unique character adds an entry to the cache that persists for the life of the matcher, leading to potential memory overload during searches. Affected users should update to version 0.1.7 or later to mitigate this issue.
