Vulnerability in open-iscsi's iscsiuio Component Affects Network Traffic Routing
CVE-2026-115486
7.1HIGH
What is CVE-2026-115486?
A flaw has been identified in the iscsiuio component of open-iscsi, where the IPv6 Neighbor Discovery handler improperly accesses link-layer address options at a fixed offset without validating their presence. This vulnerability allows an attacker on the same network segment to issue a crafted Neighbor Advertisement, potentially leading to ARP table poisoning. Consequently, malicious actors can redirect network traffic to unauthorized destinations, compromising data integrity and confidentiality.
