What is CVE-2026-116172?

An improper input validation vulnerability in vLLM versions prior to 0.24.0 allows remote attackers to exploit the Rust gRPC converter. By sending Generate or GenerateStream requests with excessively large or integer-wrapping values to CandidateTokens.top_n, an attacker can manipulate max_logprobs limits, leading to a denial-of-service condition that disrupts the EngineCore functionality.
