What is CVE-2026-116180?

The vLLM application from versions 0.8.5 to 0.30.0 is susceptible to a Denial of Service (DoS) issue due to an uninitialized int32 tensor allocation in the LogprobsTensors.empty_cpu() function. When a client interacts with the engine and sends prompt_logprobs against a connector-cached prefix, the tokenizer decode operation may trigger an OverflowError. This error leads to the crashing of EngineCore, resulting in a complete drop of all requests from co-tenants. Users and organizations using the affected versions are advised to update to mitigate this vulnerability.
