What is CVE-2026-116214?

MacCMS v10 prior to version 2026.1000.4054 is susceptible to an authentication bypass vulnerability that enables attackers to reset passwords for any user account. This flaw arises from the improper handling of the password recovery process where the check_msg() function fails to validate the comparison of msg_to correctly. By exploiting this vulnerability, an attacker can request a password recovery code to their own email, and subsequently, use that code to reset the password of a targeted account simply by providing the victim’s email or phone number, leading to unauthorized access.
