What is CVE-2026-116244?

An authentication bypass vulnerability in pgAdmin 4 allows unauthorized users to connect using the service account's Kerberos credentials. This flaw arises due to improper handling of the KRB5CCNAME environment variable when a connection is not intended to use delegated Kerberos credentials. As a result, libpq can respond to GSSAPI authentication requests using the service account's ticket, regardless of the user attempting to connect. This vulnerability impacts any pgAdmin 4 versions prior to 9.19, necessitating immediate attention for users operating such versions to mitigate the risk of unauthorized access.

Affected Version(s)

pgAdmin 4 0 < 9.19

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)
