What is CVE-2026-116487?

The NXP MCUXpresso SDK USB middleware prior to version 2.13.0 is susceptible to an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the USB_DeviceCdcRndisSetCommand() function. This flaw arises from improper handling of the host-supplied informationBufferOffset. A malicious USB host can exploit this by sending RNDIS SET messages with out-of-range offsets targeting OID_GEN_CURRENT_PACKET_FILTER or OID_802_3_MULTICAST_LIST, potentially allowing unauthorized access to sensitive device memory.
