What is CVE-2026-116883?

A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability exists in Semantic MediaWiki versions 3.1.0 through 7.3.1. This flaw allows authenticated users with smw-schemaedit permission to inject malicious HTML content through schema descriptions. When stored, this unescaped HTML is rendered using Html::rawElement() in HtmlBuilder, compromising the integrity of web pages and potentially affecting users who access the modified schema.
