What is CVE-2026-116885?

Semantic MediaWiki versions prior to 7.3.1 are vulnerable to a reflected cross-site scripting issue in the Special:SMWAdmin ID lookup feature. This flaw permits unauthenticated attackers to exploit the unescaped id parameter, allowing them to craft malicious links that, when opened by an SMW administrator, can execute arbitrary scripts. By bypassing the auto-satisfied edit-token check, attackers can perform unauthorized actions within the administrator's session, compromising the security integrity of the system.
