What is CVE-2026-118242?

Highcharts JS, a popular JavaScript charting library, has a security issue affecting versions 2.3.0 through 3.2.0. This vulnerability allows attackers to manipulate SVG path elements created by the Highcharts Grid. If an attacker gains control over Grid configurations, they can define custom event-handler attributes in icon definitions, which replaces the default sorting or pagination icons. This manipulation can lead to malicious scripts executing in the context of the hosting page when users interact with the compromised icons. The vulnerability was addressed in version 3.2.0.

Affected Version(s)

grid-lite >= 2.3.0, < 3.2.0
