What is CVE-2026-118608?

The Alpine iLX-F511 device is vulnerable due to an out-of-bounds read flaw in the prh_rfcomm_cc_process_test function of the libanwbtstack.so library. This vulnerability can be exploited by network-adjacent attackers who are able to pair a malicious Bluetooth device with the target system. The lack of proper validation for user-supplied data can lead to sensitive information disclosure, as it allows reading past the end of an allocated buffer. Exploiting this vulnerability may enable attackers to leverage it alongside other weaknesses to execute code with root privileges.
