What is CVE-2026-120007?

NodeBB versions 1.18.0 to 4.16.5 are susceptible to an authorization bypass flaw that permits unauthenticated users to manipulate accounts. Specifically, attackers can exploit the /register endpoint by submitting a POST request with an arbitrary user ID (uid). This vulnerability allows them to clear a target's email address at the /register/complete interstitial, thereby revoking all active sessions and compromising account security.
