What is CVE-2026-120194?

A flaw exists in json-glib, where the JSONPath slice evaluator utilized by the json_path_query() function can fall into an infinite loop due to negative step slice expressions. This vulnerability can be exploited by attackers who control the input JSONPath expressions, leading the application to become unresponsive and resulting in a denial of service condition.
