What is CVE-2026-120428?

PandaWiki versions 3.65.0 through 3.87.5 are susceptible to a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability. This issue allows unauthenticated attackers to exploit the /share/v1/common/file/upload endpoint, enabling them to upload HTML files masquerading as images. By misleading administrators into accessing a crafted URL, attackers can bypass the nginx attachment header, leading to the inline rendering of the malicious HTML. This exploit facilitates the theft of the panda_wiki_token JWT, potentially resulting in session takeover and unauthorized access to user accounts.

Affected Version(s)

PandaWiki 3.65.0 <= 3.87.5

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
