Integer Overflow Vulnerability in QuickJS-NG Affects Multiple Versions
CVE-2026-120438
8.5HIGH
What is CVE-2026-120438?
An integer overflow vulnerability exists in QuickJS-NG that arises from the js_proxy_get_own_property_names() function within quickjs.c. This flaw enables attackers, through running crafted JavaScript code, to generate a large array-like object from a Proxy's ownKeys trap. This manipulation can result in an allocation size that exceeds the limits, potentially leading to a heap buffer overflow on 32-bit systems. The consequences include system crashes and the possibility of executing arbitrary code, threatening overall system security.
