What is CVE-2026-120444?

GoFound, up to version 1.4.1, is susceptible to a path traversal vulnerability that permits unauthenticated attackers to delete arbitrary directories. By exploiting this flaw, attackers can use '../' sequences in the database parameter to craft malicious GET requests directed at '/api/db/create' and '/api/db/drop'. This can lead to the execution of 'os.RemoveAll', enabling attackers to delete directories located outside the designated data directory, compromising the application's data integrity and security. Users are advised to update to the latest version and implement security measures to mitigate potential exploitation.

Affected Version(s)

GoFound 0 <= 1.4.1

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
