What is CVE-2026-120491?

Wing FTP Server prior to version 8.2.6 is vulnerable to a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) attack. This flaw allows authenticated users of the web client to send a crafted 'nowpath' parameter to 'webclient/makethumb.html', potentially injecting malicious scripts. Additionally, attackers can exploit the vulnerability to bypass the directory CDATA section in 'admin_get_lastconn.html' XML, forging a connection ID that may execute commands in the browsers of administrators during the auto-refresh of 'admin_connection_list.html'. This can lead to further exploitation through the Lua console, undermining the overall security of the affected systems.

Affected Version(s)
