Memory Exhaustion Vulnerability in FreeRDP by FreeRDP Project
CVE-2026-121405
5.3MEDIUM
What is CVE-2026-121405?
FreeRDP versions earlier than 3.32.2 are susceptible to a memory exhaustion vulnerability that arises from improper handling of OutputBufferLength in serial device-control IRP requests. This flaw enables malicious servers to execute excessive memory allocation by sending crafted IRP_MJ_DEVICE_CONTROL requests, specifically using the IOCTL_USBPRINT_GET_1284_ID. As a result, attackers could exhaust the memory resources of clients connected to such servers, potentially leading to service disruption or denial of service.
