Use-After-Free Vulnerability in FreeRDP USB Redirection Channel
CVE-2026-121408
6MEDIUM
What is CVE-2026-121408?
FreeRDP prior to version 3.32.2 is susceptible to a use-after-free vulnerability in the USB redirection channel. This issue arises because the FindChannelById function returns a channel pointer without a reference count, allowing for potential exploitation. An attacker can exploit this flaw by sending a control-channel CLOSE_REQUEST to the client while it is in the process of announcing a USB device, resulting in a crash of the FreeRDP client when it attempts to access the freed channel. This vulnerability poses serious security risks, especially in environments using remote desktop services.
