What is CVE-2026-121427?

AzuraCast version 0.23.8 contains a configuration manipulation vulnerability where unauthorized users can access and modify sensitive configurations. Specifically, the system fails to adequately sanitize inputs from the frontend_config.custom_config endpoint, allowing authenticated users with limited permissions to alter critical parameters. This includes the ability to change the admin password, default broadcast password, or even introduce arbitrary directives by manipulating key-value pairs within the Shoutcast sc_serv.conf file. This vulnerability poses significant risks as it can lead to unauthorized access and control over the broadcasting station.
