What is CVE-2026-121445?

The darylldoyle svg-sanitizer plugin prior to version 1.1.0 is vulnerable to a regular expression denial of service (ReDoS) issue. This vulnerability arises in the image-set pattern of the stripRemoteCssTokens() function when the removeRemoteReferences option is enabled. Attackers can exploit this by submitting specially crafted SVG files containing numerous unclosed image-set tokens. This action can exhaust CPU resources or trigger the PCRE limits, causing the sanitize() function to raise a TypeError and potentially leave unsanitized content.
