What is CVE-2026-121621?

A command injection vulnerability in the Argo CD Image Updater allows attackers to exploit unsanitized input. Specifically, when a proxy URL is configured on an SSH Git repository, it is improperly passed into a shell-interpreted SSH command. This flaw enables an attacker with the ability to set a malicious proxy value to inject shell metacharacters, resulting in the execution of arbitrary commands. As a consequence, sensitive credentials may be accessed within the context of the Image Updater process, posing a serious risk to systems using this tool.
