Use-After-Free Vulnerability in FreeRDP Affected by Malicious Channel Requests
CVE-2026-121961
8.2HIGH
What is CVE-2026-121961?
FreeRDP versions prior to 3.32.2 are vulnerable to a use-after-free attack in the freerdp-proxy DRDYNVC tracker. This occurs when a malicious server repeatedly sends CREATE_REQUEST_PDU messages for an active channel ID, creating a race condition during the data handling process. As a result, a borrowed context may be freed unexpectedly, which can lead to a crash of the proxy process, potentially disrupting service and opening avenues for further exploits.
