What is CVE-2026-122306?

Kyverno, a policy engine for Kubernetes, is susceptible to a denial of service vulnerability that arises due to improper handling of wildcard patterns. Authors of namespaced policies can exploit this flaw by submitting specifically crafted policy configurations. This triggers excessive resource consumption, pinning CPU cores and leading to cluster-wide webhook timeouts. Such conditions can significantly impair resource operations, ultimately disrupting the functionality of Kubernetes clusters.
