What is CVE-2026-122307?

A policy bypass vulnerability exists in Kyverno prior to version 1.19.2 that allows users to exploit the admissionpolicygenerator controller. This vulnerability arises because PolicyExceptions can be improperly integrated into the generated ValidatingAdmissionPolicies, disregarding critical parameters such as the --enablePolicyException and --exceptionNamespace flags. Consequently, users possessing namespaced create permissions on PolicyExceptions can introduce negated matchConditions, leading to the admission of non-compliant resources and circumventing established cluster-wide enforcement policies. It is essential to update Kyverno to version 1.19.2 or later to mitigate this risk.
