What is CVE-2026-122315?

Kyverno versions prior to 1.19.2 are susceptible to a vulnerability stemming from an unchecked type assertion in the buildStatementMap function. This flaw can be exploited by unauthenticated attackers who craft specific attestation statements, enabling them to crash the policy engine. By pushing an OCI referrer manifest containing a non-string type field, attackers can bypass image verification when the failure policy is set to Ignore, potentially leading to instability in the reports-controller.

Affected Version(s)
