What is CVE-2026-123357?

GROBID, a tool designed for extracting data from scholarly documents, contains a command injection vulnerability within its Linux PDF conversion path. Prior to version 0.9.1, an attacker could exploit this flaw by crafting a PDF filename that incorporates a single quote. This manipulation could disrupt the intended command structure, leading to unexpected execution of arbitrary commands with elevated privileges in the GROBID process. Importantly, this vulnerability does not affect the bundled REST server, and users are advised to update to version 0.9.1 or later to mitigate this risk.
