What is CVE-2026-124553?

BabelDOC versions 0.3.61 to 0.6.9 are vulnerable to a resource exhaustion issue that can be exploited by attackers to deplete CPU and memory resources. By crafting a malicious PDF file with an excessively large range specified in the ToUnicode CMap, it can cause billions of iterations within the translation worker's processing loop. This results in a denial of service, halting system functionality. Users are urged to update to version 0.7.0 or later to mitigate this risk.
