OS Command Injection Flaw in Foreman by Red Hat
CVE-2026-12541

8.2HIGH

What is CVE-2026-12541?

A security flaw has been identified in Foreman, wherein OS command injection vulnerabilities occur in the execution of the foreman-rake db:dump and db:import_dump tasks. The application inadequately sanitizes user-supplied input within the destination and file parameters during backup and import operations. This oversight allows an attacker with appropriate permissions, such as those granted through a limited sudo configuration, to insert malicious shell commands into the provided file paths. As a result, compromised data integrity and unauthorized command execution become potential risks.
