What is CVE-2026-1315?

A vulnerability exists in the firmware update endpoint of TP-Link Tapo C220 v1 and C520WS v2 devices that allows attackers to send specially crafted files. This can lead to premature termination of core system services without proper authentication or verification of firmware integrity. As a result, an unauthenticated attacker can initiate a persistent denial of service situation, which necessitates a manual reboot or application-initiated restart to restore the normal operation of the device.
