What is CVE-2026-14676?

A heap buffer overflow vulnerability in PostgreSQL's pg_stat_statements enables malicious query authors to execute arbitrary code with the permissions of the database's operating system user. This issue is exploitable through specially crafted queries containing array constants, impacting PostgreSQL versions 18.0 through 18.4. Users running versions prior to PostgreSQL 18 are not affected. It is critical for users to upgrade to the latest version to mitigate potential threats.
