What is CVE-2026-14677?
An integer wraparound vulnerability exists in PostgreSQL 32-bit builds of pltcl and plperl, allowing an object creator to manipulate the server's memory allocation process. By providing specially crafted function bodies, an attacker can induce an undersized memory allocation that may lead to out-of-bounds writes. This vulnerability poses a serious risk as it could enable the execution of arbitrary code under the privileges of the operating system user running the database. Users are advised to update to versions PostgreSQL 18.5, 17.11, 16.15, 15.19, or 14.24 to safeguard against this threat.
