What is CVE-2026-1531?

A vulnerability exists in Foreman Kubevirt that compromises SSL verification during configuration with OpenShift. If a Certificate Authority (CA) certificate is not explicitly specified, the system defaults to disabling SSL verification. This insecure setup exposes the communication between Satellite and OpenShift to potential interception by malicious actors, facilitating Man-in-the-Middle (MITM) attacks. Consequently, this could lead to unauthorized disclosure or modification of sensitive information exchanged between the systems.
