What is CVE-2026-1539?

A vulnerability exists in the libsoup HTTP library that can lead to the exposure of sensitive proxy authentication credentials. When handling HTTP redirects, the library inadequately manages the Authorization and Proxy-Authorization headers, which may result in the unintended disclosure of sensitive data to third-party servers. Therefore, applications leveraging libsoup for HTTP communications could unintentionally leak proxy authentication information when requests are redirected to different hosts.
