What is CVE-2026-1556?

An information disclosure vulnerability exists in the file URI processing of Drupal File (Field) Paths version 7.x prior to 7.1.3. This flaw allows authenticated users to inadvertently expose other users' private files through filename-collision uploads. When such an upload occurs, modules that utilize the hook_node_insert() function may incorrectly receive a file URI that bypasses standard access controls, potentially leading to unauthorized access to sensitive data.
