What is CVE-2026-1580?

A security issue in the Ingress-NGINX controller allows the injection of configuration through the nginx.ingress.kubernetes.io/auth-method annotation. This misconfiguration can lead to arbitrary code execution within the ingress-nginx controller, potentially exposing sensitive Secrets that the controller can access across the entire cluster. In the default setup, this could result in significant security risks if not addressed promptly.
