What is CVE-2026-16316?

The OMICRON StationGuard 4.00 is impacted by an improper input validation flaw related to its processing of IEC 61850 Sampled Values (SV) frames. A maliciously crafted SV frame can trigger a termination of the processing service, which impedes the alert functionality for Sampled Values traffic. While this does not compromise the overall system availability or affect the handling of other data traffic types, it does result in a temporary disruption. The affected process will restart automatically, with users promptly notified about the failure.
