Command Injection Vulnerability in PCP's Linux Sockets PMDA
CVE-2026-16524
7.8HIGH
What is CVE-2026-16524?
A command injection vulnerability exists in the linux_sockets PMDA of Performance Co-Pilot (PCP). This flaw allows attackers to inject malicious shell metacharacters via the network.persocket.filter metric, which bypasses input validation. As a result, attackers may execute arbitrary commands with the privileges of the PMDA user when the metrics refresh occurs, potentially compromising the system's integrity and security.
