What is CVE-2026-17039?

A security quality issue exists within the Dogtag PKI, specifically in the certificate authority renewal request path. This vulnerability arises from the lack of a realm-based authorization check, which is normally enforced during the enrollment path. As a consequence, an authenticated user who has privileges in one realm may inadvertently renew certificates belonging to a different realm without the required authorization from that realm. This flaw can lead to unauthorized access and management of certificates, posing significant security risks.
