What is CVE-2026-1707?

A vulnerability in pgAdmin versions 9.11 allows attackers to bypass restore restrictions through key disclosure. When running in server mode, attackers with access to the pgAdmin web interface can observe ongoing restore operations. By extracting the \restrict key in real-time, they can race the restore process and overwrite the restore script with a crafted payload. This exploit re-enables meta-commands with \unrestrict <key>, leading to arbitrary command execution on the pgAdmin host during the restore process. It is crucial for users to secure their pgAdmin installations to prevent unauthorized access.
